Born in Sindian City, Taipei County, April 16, 1976 Shu Qi began her career as a modelling nude for magazines and softcore movie shorts, this line of work eventually led her to begin working in softcore Hong Kong films such as Sex & Zen II, Viva Erotica and Queer Story. Shu Qi then moved in to some more mainstream Hong Kong films like Gorgeous, The Island Tales, Millennium Mambo and The Transporter. In 2005 Shu Qi starred in Three Times and won Best Actress Award at the Golden Horse Awards.
