Born on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Shania Twain began her singing career at an early age however it wasn’t until 1993 that she released her debut album entitled Shania Twain. The album wasn’t particularly successful and in 1995 Twain released her second album The Woman in Me, the album was hugely successful selling over eighteen million copies. In 1997 Twain success continued with the album Come on Over which sold thirty-four million copies and became the best selling album by a female solo artist and the best-selling country album of all time. Twain then released the albums Up and Greatest Hits neither of which were particularly successful.
