Born in Guajira, Venezuela, on January 31, 1971 Patricia Velasquez began her modelling career in 1998 as a runway model for designers including Antonio Berardi, Bella Freud, Corinne Cobson, Claude Montana, Jean Paul Gaultier, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, and Owen Gaster. Velasquez success continues with ads for Chanel's Allure, Monsoon, Roberto Verino's Verino fragrance and Victoria's Secret. Velásquez made her film debut in 1996 with Le Jaguar, which was later followed by roles in Beowulf , No Vacancy, Committed and The Mummy.
