Maria Grazia Cucinotta was born in Italy, in the Sicilian town of Messina, on July 27, 1969. Cucinotta began her career at the age of sixteen as a catwalk model, but she soon began her acting career in the show Indietro Tutta, following this Cucinotta had small roles in various shows. In 1990 Cucinotta got her first movie role in Viaggio d'amore which was followed by parts in Vacanze di Natale'90, and Abbronzatissimi 2 - un anno dopo. In 1997 Cucinotta began to work in English films with A Brooklyn State of Mind, Ballad of the Nightingale, The World Is Not Enough, Rent-a-Husband and Just One Night
