Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on April 18, 1967 Maria Elana Bello began her acting career in college with off-Broadway plays and guest spots on TV shows. In 1996 Bello got the role of Mrs. Smith in the show Mr. & Mrs. Smith and soon after got a spot on ER, Bello left in the fourth season to act in the films Coyote Ugly, The Cooler and A History of Violence.
