Born on 11 April 1987 in Dover, Kent, Joss Stone began her music career at age fourteen when she won the BBC Television talent show Star for a Night. Soon after she signed on to S-Curve Records and began work on her debut album The Soul Sessions which was released in 2003. The album went on to triple platinum in Britain Stone’s second album Mind, Body & Soul, was released in 2004, it once again went triple platinum. In 2007 Stone released her third album Introducing Joss Stone,the album sold 118,000 copies in its first week. Stone made her film debut in the film adaptation of the novel Eragon in 2006.
