Born on July 20, 1980, in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Gisele Caroline Bundchen began her modelling career in 1995 when she entered a Elite Look Modeling Competition. Bundchen soon relocated to New York and began modelling full time; offers began rolling in with work from magazines in 1999 Bundchen made her magazine cover debut on July 1999 issue of Vogue magazine, she has since appeared in over 500 different magazines including W, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Allure, Vogue, Arena, Flair, GQ, Esquire ,Marie Claire, Time, Vanity Fair, Forbes. Bundchen won the VH1/Vogue Model of the Year for 1999, and she became the forth model to ever be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Bundchen has also worked on runway and ad campaigns for designers such as Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Givenchy, Bvlgari, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria's Secret. Bundchen has her own line of footwear called Ipanema Gisele Bündchen.
