Born on September 7, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina, Evan Rachel Wood began her acting career in 1994 with an small role on the TV series American Gothic and several made-for-television films. Wood then had a role on the series Once and Again and for a season on Profiler. In 1998 Wood was in the film Digging to China and a supporting role in S1m0ne. In 2003 Wood made her breakthrough in the film Thirteen, Wood went on to the movies The Upside of Anger, Pretty Persuasion, Down in the Valley, Running With Scissors, King of California ,The Life Before Her Eyes, and Across the Universe.
