Born on August 11, 1975 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Carolyn Murphy began her modelling career at the age of fifteen with work for local ads and magazines. Murphy career took off when she moved to New York, she soon had work for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Elle and Marie Claire magazines. Murphy also became the face of Calvin Klein's perfume Contradiction and became the new spokeswoman for Estee Lauder. In 1998 Murphy was named VH1/Vogue's "Model of the Year" and in 1999 acted in the movie Liberty Heights. Murphy has since appeared in the 2002 Playboy calendar and on the cover of 2005 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
