Born on September 14, 1978 in Paide, Estonia Carmen Kass began her modelling career when she was righteen and moved to Paris. Soon after Kass was gracing the covers of French, UK and US Vogue, ELLE, Image , Madame Figaro and Numéro France magazines. By 1999 Kass had modelled for Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Fendi, Chanel, Chloé, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Victoria's Secret and Givenchy. In 2000 Kass was named VH1/Vogue Fashion Model of the Year, Kass was the model for Christian Dior perfume, J'adore and Max Factor’s spokesperson. In 2004 Kass made her movie debut in the Estonian movie Täna öösel me ei maga (We Won't Sleep Tonight).
