Born on September 20, 1975, in Rome, Italy, Asia Argento began her acting career at age nine when she was in the movie Sogni e bisogni. Argento then starred in Zoo before appearing in La Chiesa na d Palombella rossa before she got her breakthrough role in 1992 in Le Amiche del cuore. Argento made her English language debut in Trauma, she was then in La Sindrome di Stendhal, Il Fantasma dell'opera, Perdiamoci di vista!, La Reine Margot and Compagna di viaggio. Argento was then in the English speaking movies B. Monkey, New Rose Hotel and Hostage. Argento has also directed the movies Abel Ferrara and Scarlet Diva as well as written the book I Love You, Kirk.
