Born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Anna Helene Paquin began her acting career at age eleven when she made her film debut in the critically acclaimed The Piano. For her role Paquin won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her the second youngest Oscar winner in history. Paquin then took roles in Jane Eyre and then starred in Fly Away Home and was later in The Member of the Wedding, Amistad, Hurlyburly and She's All That. In 2000 Paquin took the role of Rogue in the movie version of X-Men, she was later in the sequels X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand. In 2006 Paquin executive-produced, Blue State which she was also in and has since been in Margaret and the film adaptation of the Dee Brown novel, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
