Born on April 11, 1981 in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil Alessandra Corine Ambrósio began her modelling career when she won Brazil's Elite Model Look. Ambrosio first big modelling job was on the cover of Elle magazine and following this she participated in campaigns for Millennium GUESS?. After this Ambrosio’s career took off with work for many famous companies including the covers of Cosmopolitan, ELLE, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vogue and Glamour. She has been in ads for Revlon, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Rolex, Gucci, Calvin Klein and Pirelli Calendar and has worked as a runway model for Christian Lacroix, Fendi, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Vivienne Westwood, Victoria's Secret among others. In 2004 Ambrosio released her line of swimwear called Alessandra Ambrosio by Sais.
