Born on September 8, 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Alecia Beth Moore began her music career in 2000 when she released her first album Can't Take Me Home the album was a success selling over four million copied worldwide. Moore released her second album M!ssundaztood in 2001, the album was a huge success selling over twelve million copies worldwide Moore followed in 2003 with the album Try This, while not as successful as her previous albums Try This, still sold three million copies. Moore’s has since released her fourth album I'm Not Dead in 2006 the album has since sold over one million copies in the U.S.
