Born on 26 March 1985 in Teddington, London, England, Keira Christina Knightley began her career with made-for-television films she got her first big role in 1999 as Sabé, Padmé Amidala's decoy in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Knightley followed this with the movies Princess of Thieves, The Hole and of Doctor Zhivago. Knightley got her breakthrough in Bend It Like Beckham and followed it up with the hugely successful Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
