Sophie Marceau

Sophie Marceau bore Sophie Danièle Sylvie Maupu on November 17, 1966 in Paris. Marceau began her career with the leading role of La Boum at only 14 and continued to act in French movies, winning the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 1983 and Best Romantic Actress at the International Festival of Romantic Movies in 1988. Marceau moved briefly into the theatre before taking her first international movie in 1995 with a role in Braveheart and continued her international success with Anna Karenina, Marquise, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The World Is Not Enough.
