Born on February 3, 1976, in Muscat, Oman, Isla Fisher began her acting career young and by age nine was appearing in TV commercials. In 1993 Fisher was in the TV series Bay Cove and Paradise Beach and from 1994 till 1997 she played Shannon Reed on the soap opera Home and Away. In 1996 Fisher wrote two books Bewitched and Seduced by Fame and returned to acting in the miniseries Oliver Twist and Hearts and Bones.
