Born on January 2, 1969 in Walnut Creek, California, Christy Nicole Turlington began modelling at fourteen when for the store Emporium Capwell. Turlington continued to model part time until after graduating from High Schiool and moved to New York City to model full-time, Turlington was soon modelling for designers such as Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Gianni Versace, and Azzedine Alaia. Turlington soon represented Calvin Klein’s perfume Eternity as well as Maybelline as well as over 500 magazine covers.
