Born on August 14, 1968 in London, England, Catherine Lisa Bell began her acting career with small parts in Sugar and Spice, Death Becomes Her, Bruce Almighty, Hot line, The Brunch Club. In 1997 Bell got the roe she o9s best known for that of U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Sarah MacKenzie on the TV series JAG, Bell continued to play this role until 2005. In 2005 Bell appeared in the miniseries The Triangle, and is currently playing Denise Sherwood on the drama series Army Wives.
