Born on December 2, 1981, in Kentwood, Louisiana, Britney Jean Spears began her music career at the age of eleven when she became a "Mouseketeer" on Mickey Mouse Club, several years later Spears signed on to Jive Records and in 1999 she released her hugely successful debut album ...Baby One More Time, the album has since sold over 20 million copies, as well as earning Spears the awards 1999 MTV Europe Awards for Best Female Artist, Best Pop Artist and Best Breakthrough Artist. Spears followed this up in 2000 with Oops!...
