Born on April 12, 1979 in Manhattan, New York City, Claire Catherine Danes began her acting career in 1994 when she was in the TV series My So-Called Life. Danes then played Elizabeth in the film adaptation of Little Women and Home for the Holidays, before she got one of her best known roles as Juliet Capulet in the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet. Danes then lent her voice to the animated film Princess Mononoke before appearing in the films Brokedown Palace, Igby Goes Down, The Hours, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Stage Beauty, Shopgirl, The Family Stone and Stardust.

Born on December 3, 1960, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Julianne Moore began her acting career in 1983 when she was cast as Frannie and Sabrina in the soap opera As the World Turns, Moore played this role from 1985 to 1988.Moore then moved into films with parts in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Benny and Joon, Short Cuts, Nine Months, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and The Fugitive. In 1997 Moore played Amber Waves in Boogie Nights, she later had parts in the films Magnolia, An Ideal Husband, The End of the Affair, Far From Heaven and The Hours.
